A day after Bollywood actor Irrfan Khan died, another legendary actor Rishi Kapoor died in Mumbai on April 30 after a protracted battle with cancer.Rishi kapoor got his treatment in America earlier.

Actors including Amitabh Bachchan, Anushka Sharma, Manoj Bajpayee took to social media platforms to precise their condolences. within the span of 24 hours, Bollywood lost two legends back to back.

Khan and Kapoor were cancer warriors and had acted together within the gangster epic D-Day.

Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi took to social media to offer his condolences over Rishi Kapoor's death. "Multifaceted, endearing and lively...this was Rishi Kapoor Ji. He was a powerhouse of talent. i will be able to always recall our interactions, even on social media. He was hooked in to films and India’s progress. Anguished by his demise. Condolences to his family and fans. Om Shanti."

Veteran actor Jeetendra and Shobha Kapoor issued a joint statement, saying: "The magnitude of his loss and therefore the void he leaves behind are going to be felt forever. We’ve lost one among our closest friends, our very dear brother and one among the best citizenry . it had been an honour to be a neighborhood of his life. Our deepest condolences to Neetu, Riddhima, Ranbir and therefore the entire Kapoor family."

While Karan Johar, top producer and director, called him ‘his childhood’, Akshay Kumar labelled him a legend.

Kumar said: “It looks like we are within the midst of nightmare. Just heard the depressing news of Rishiji. it had been heartbreaking and he was a legend.”

Actor Aamir Khan also expressed his grief, saying: "We have lost one among the greats today. a tremendous actor, an exquisite person , and 100% a toddler of Cinema. many thanks for all the enjoyment you delivered to our lives. many thanks for being the actor and person that you simply were. you'll be badly missed Rishiji
